Hi All.

So have had a EK Perfromance 360 kit on order with OCUK for almost a month but they don't seem top be able to get them in stock. So need an alternative solution.

So this is what i was buying..

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-w...0-performance-watercooling-kit-wc-99d-ek.html

Would this be in the same range of comparable?? its one of the OCUK tech labs packs..

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • 1 x OcUK Tech Labs - V12 Watercooling Kit 360 = £230.89
    • Tubing Colour:Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 16/11 - Clear
    • Coolant Choice:Mayhems X1 UV Red Premixed Watercooling Fluid 1L
    • Radiator:EK Water Blocks EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple)
    • Pump & Reservoir Option:XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump Combo V2
    • CPU Block:EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel

Total: £230.89
(includes shipping: £0.00)

I will need to change some of the original extra fittings I purchased as they are 16/11 and the ones i bought are 13/11

Certainly comparable, yes. It's the same CPU block, rad and pump.

Tubing is 16/11 instead of 13/10. This really just means that it's chunkier, it's not going to have any noticeable effect on performance. Probably has a larger bend radius though so could cause you issues if you're in a small case - but probably nothing you can't get round with 45° or 90° fittings.

Fans are different but fairly similar in performance - slightly less pressure but slightly lower noise - you're not really going to know unless you hear and feel them side by side but on paper they look fine.

Res is very different and you might want to check out people's opinions on the bay res - some love them, some hate them. The main issue is can you fill it once it's in - is there enough slack to pull it forward to fill, can you get access to the top to fill it or do you need to fit a fill port to your case?
The flip side is the Photon tube res (more similar to the EK offering) would probably need you to drill holes in your case to mount it. The EK one might too, to be fair.

Thanks Cenedd

RE the fans.. I have three vader fans that i bought separate going onto the rad.

The Res / pump combo is the bit that worried me more than anything. I also looked into the D5 Vario / xpsc 170 combo as a slightly more expansive variant.

I am putting it into a Luxe case which has res mounts.

You might want to check how tall it is too. The luxe is quite big so you may find the smaller version - depending on where you put it - looks lost. Just worth measuring up first.

See thats why i love OCUK..

called up and they changed the XPSC res/pump to an EK one for me that i originally wanted but was not in their bundle.
