I have just installed or should i say updated my water cooling on my pc (Cosmos case) and for some reason my psu had a red light on it and would not boot the pc at all, as i only had my pumps connected and the usual adapter pluged in to allow the pumps to run only to fill system wih liquid.

Any i had a spare psu and put that on then umps ran fine.

Now i finally got it all running last night and booted up and fine, now whilst apart from 1 fan was not running but i knew why as I needed to supply power to it. so today went straight to the pc never booted up up just messed with some wires to trace where the power was needed then went to boot pc and nothing same red light as on my old psu.

So i unplugged everything and just fitted the adapter and tested it and pc powers up the pumps??

So does this mean i have a short somewhere or my board fried? seem weird as last night i was on it testing the gfx card etx on 3dmark11 and no probs..

Any suggestions please I know this cosmos case with the stupid sensor for the on and off has been a pain in the past but just stuck and dont know what to do know to test to see if its my board or just the case??

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Try to turn the system on outside of the case, this will rule out a short circuit inside the case.

If it does boot outside the case, then there is something up with your Cosmos... if not, then it could be the board.

Also, swap test your HDD's and memory to rule them out too!

can you bloody believe it, it was the case think the board that controls the switch etc has gone a knacker as i bypassed the cable that powers the case so as to power the board directly and it boots, so i am currently powering up the pc by using the onboard start button on the rampage ;) glad then had one of those on here lol

So looking out for a case that can house a double rad and a tripple rad with at least 10 cd drive bays and enough for at least 3-4 hdd's and space to house some water cooling.

Any suggestions??, I guess an alternative to the cosmos with a little more room?

I used to attend lan parties some time ago and guys had these like square see through cases that were more of a cube, i never managed to find out where they get them?

If you like the Cosmos case and think that you were maybe just a bit unlucky with a bad control switch, then you could consider just getting a replacement.

The only case I can think of that will do what he wants is the Cosmos but its over £300 for a new case...

Could try to get the bits he needs to fix the problem.
