Hi, I have 3 x 30Gb Vertex SSD's in a Silverstone FT01B-W Fortress case.

The SSD's are mounted using the 3.5" to 2.5" adaptors here and then put into the drive trays for the bottom cage in the Fortress.

I used the onboard ICH10R controller for the RAID 0 array so all are cabled directly to mobo SATA sockets with all cabling to the rear of the drive bay to keep it tidy
(the three red SATA cables forming the letter 'J' at bottom left of this pic).

The two yellow SATA's are for a RAID 1 array of 2 x 1Tb Samsung F1's for data storage which are mounted in the 5.25" bays to keep case clear for good airflow to graphics card etc.

nice set up an very tidy too boot ... thx m8

No worries my friend. Thanks for the kind words. I would have preferred a larger case but am limited in size as PC's have to be locked away in a desk due to having two small boys who are just old enough to know where the power switches are (but not old enough to know when to use them... or rather, when NOT to - d'oh!)

Well sorry about not posting a pic I got held up at work, and did not get a lunch break. I'm 2hr, 30mins away from being home and I will post then, however my display is completely ghetto compared to FacePlantSi's. I too have a mid tower and can't buy a full because of desk limitations (my desk has a top shelf and I refuse to put my rig on the floor).

It's a shame you can't get 2 or 3 SSD drives in a single 3.5" unit :)

It shouldn't be a major technical issue to make one.
1 power connection 2-3 SATA connections.

You can get two 2.5" drives in a single 3.5" bay, or four 2.5" drives in a single 5.25" bay.
I've used duct tape instead :)

I haven't used one of those (only found them the other day) and the holes for the 'on top' one do look a bit far apart - but it would be a very simple matter to drill a few holes in the correct position for mounting a second drive.

I bought one for my vertex SSD and they are just brackets (2 pieces) which attach to either side and mount into a 3.5" space.

I would not know about fitting 2 drives as I have not tried. Also, I would be hopless at drilling holes into it too. :)
