GW2 vs. FFXIV

Again I would say Rift - I got bored of GW2 and didnt even hit the cap. Managed to get my Celtic to level 39 last night and also invited my friend and brother and gifted them a mount each so thats a good option. Best F2P setup I have played aswell.

I still do Wow but just cap my arena and then back to rift, never reached end game in rift so dont know what that is like and cannot comment on it.
 
I thought the dungeons in Rift were great when I played it and had great fun on my Chloro. If their account recovery system was better I would probably pick it up again, but trying to unlock my old account/recover passwords is like banging my head against a brick wall.
 
I tried both GW2 and FFXIV and found both to be boring, which is a shame. FFXIV might keep you entertained for the story if you're really into Final Fantasy games in general, but the gameplay is still boring.
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I did play Rift for a few months after it launched but couldn't get into it and found it far too similar to WoW. Does FF14 come with a free month? I think I'll give it a try as it's so cheap.
 
I am still liking the whole set up of tank/healer/dps and I like the idea of rifts opening up. I am way ahead of my friends but the good thing is that there is a mentor setting where I get put in a level and help them out without them loosing xp (or I think that what happens aint used it yet)

This is what I thought of GW2

After playing the original GW and owning all the expansions I was really looking forward to GW2 but ended up playing it for a few weeks before realising it wasn't for me :(

At least there's no monthly fee with it tho :)
 
Thought FFXIV was very very amateur and, for me, definitely not worth a monthly sub.

GW2, can't quite put my finger on why I don't play it anymore but I would say it is far better in every aspect and NO subs.

Lotro and Aion wipe the floor with both imo :D
 
Played GW2 for about 2 months then quit, burned out from the same old same old, and over a year since the game was released it's still the same old same old.

Failure of an MMO imo, ArenaNet took the money and ran.

I am now playing FF14.

I don't think I'll ever invest in a F2P mmo again, not after Guild Wars 2.
