What card do you have now? - if your board has 2x PCI-e x16 slots you can use a second 8800 or higher or 9600 or higher series card as a physx accelerator alongside another card used for rendering.
 
Save yourself some money and get a 4890 instead, even better if you have 2 x16 slots buy 2!

I would stay away from the 5*** series at the moment until all the bugs are ironed out, which could take months.
 
It won't be in stock anymore, as Nvidia have canned everything except the 295, as they've pulled out due to not being able to compete.

They'll re-enter around March next year, when their Fermis ready.
 
if i were you id do nothing and leave you're build til after Christmas as the new nvidia cards are being shown off around january time so we'll be able to see what they're like compared to the current ati cards, i may be wrong but id find it silly to buy a card now that you'll be wanting to replace in such a short time
