GX2's are ballsed, only work with certain PSU's, or hack yours to work

Seeing as they already fixed it on the main production run then you are going to be unlucky to get one of these, and they already seem to have a process in place.

Hardly the end of the world.

Why's that so funny?

Nvidias connector is in spec, its the PSU manufactuerer who are getting it wrong.
I can't see why thats funny at all tbh, someone here might want to buy one and get problems...

"We tested some, including the majority of SLI certified PSU's, on this issue to see if they would fit properly, it was not the case. This is also not limited to BFG, all board-partners have the same design specification. So please bare in mind that early batches might have this problem."

Id hold off for a while if it were me, as there will be some out there, look at all those ballsed cards before (cant remember which ones it was now), had the fauly resistor, loads of them got out. :)

Yeah the bit you miss out is where he says that ONLY 50 OF THESE UNITS WERE EVER SHIPPED. So the chances any of us will get one of these without a working adapter is very slim. Nice fear tactics though, although i cant quite figure out what you get out of it, amusement i guess.

Lets wait and see, yes i find it amusing, but i also posted it as a heads up, just in case.:)

From Anandtech:
NVIDIA notes that some PSU makers have built their connectors a little out of spec on so the fit is tight. They say that some card makers or PSU vendors will be offering adapters but that future power supply revisions should meet the specifications better.
