I pay £60 at David Lloyd. It is a lot, but I go 5x a week, and so it works out cheaper than paying each time at the local council one. And the quality of bird is much better, particularly the MILFs.

TBH when you are spending this much money why not just buy the kit yourself? Assuming you just use regular equipment it can be picked up VERY cheaply second hand off ebay and the like. I have as much kit (in terms of options) as my local gym now and i much much prefer it.

Just buy some kettlebells (i used newitts.com) - get on youtube to see some exercises - my mate is a fitness instructor and swearsby them

Was an article on MSN news the other day about gyms. Supposely the whole market is in a bit of a slump as people tighten the belts and cancel such luxuries. Now is a good time to join so they reckon as you can haggle and cut out the joining fees (wtf is with this anyway!!!!!!) and get it bit cheaper.

£29 per month for Fitness First in Wolverhampton. Only make 1-2 visits per week so in a sense it's expensive, but it's near home and no big complaints about what's available. It's pretty rammed if you head over soon after work and intend to use the weights. Guessing that is the case everywhere though.

gonna get some weights and quit, still cheap but i dont like how they can put prices up twice in a year, and hope you dont notice when it all adds up, no doubt there will be another hike in the next few months if people still dont leave
