H100 rattle

Anyone experienced a rattle noise coming from the pump?

Mine has just started randomly doing it. If I flick it, it goes away for a minute, then comes back?

Any ideas?

Yep. It's coming from the inside of the pump.

It's driving me bonkers!

I've done a bit of research and it seems that it's a voltage issue. Connecting the pump to a molex to 3pin adapter and plugging it into a mobo fan header apparently solves the issue.

Will give it a go in the morning and let you know.

Since flicking sorts it.. I would say the pump is rattling the housing

I have seen many reports of this on H100 units and the common fix was RMA.

Much easier to fit a diode.

One of the pins has now come out of the molex connector.

Really not happy with the quality of this so sending it back. How such a reputable brand like Corsair can sell these in the state they are in is beyond me.

Mine does the same but only if I knock the case hard, I give it a stiff hit with my finger & its sorts it.

Its the impeller that comes out of its mount ! If you visit the Corsair Forums its loaded with the same thing. There are batch numbers that they would RMA but that was 6 months ago...

I started by tapping it too, the noise went for a few seconds, then returned again.

I just sent it back to where i bought it from.

H100 is well known for this problem there loads of post from other owners who returned and brought air cooler.

Yeah, the H100 is a badly made piece of crap. Corsair wants to stop selling them till the problems are solved.
