H100

there high rpm fans you listed there. i got the 1850rpm ones and yes they can plug straight onto the h100 cpu block as said earlier there more than capable of cooling as i got a 2600k i7 running at 4.6ghz and there spot on. i do have mine on a fan controller though so i can turn them right down or off when im only browsing the net and stuff.

btw, do the new fan both plug into the same place on the H100 as the old fans? or do they plug in the motherboard or a fan controller? on my fan, or on another fan controller?

the H100 pump supports 4, 4-pin fan's so you could keep the new fans on with the exisiting and have them running from the pump, or you can plug them into your motherboard (they'll be fairly noisy mind) or into a fan controller. Whichever takes your fancy

4 fans plug into the part that connects to the motherboard?
and the head unit plugs onto the motherboard.. throu the fan hearder? and thats how the H100 gets its power? and the H100 has a built in fan controller?

and ah right,. you that link you sent me to the other fans.. would you say they are just as good as the gentle Typhoon's? as for £20 iwould want a very very very very impressive fan :L

h100? get yourself:

2 scythe GT 1850s

or

2 noctua nf-f12

plug them into the h100 and leave it on medium. I ran a h80 with a single scythe gt 1850 on a 2700k @ 1.4v and temps weren't too bad.

stock fans are impressive, however I would like them quieter, so I must hunt for a cheap, quiet pair of fans =)

installed and is running at 4.6, vcore 1.35 idles at around 38/40 :)

EDIT: Alligatorblood this just fits in my Phantom, what RAM do you have? if you have tall ram heat-sinks you will need to bend the two metal hanger like things that come with your case that are used to hang the H100 down so you can fit it, or you may have to remove the 200mm, I would say putting another 200mm on the right for me would be as good as push pull with 4 fans, you have to sacrifice either having the 200mm fans or having another 2 120mm attached to the radiator.

Why does everyone think the H100 is loud? I have mine running on the middle setting and its fine, under a burn test at 4.4Ghz temps dont even go above 55c. Graphics card on the other hand? well if I ramp the fans to 100% I can't hear the TV lol

idont mind about the noise abyway.
the pc my running now is suppppper loud,
and yeaaah, it dont know if its worth buy sounds proofing stuff for the nzxt case?

Sound proofing wont do a lot for noisey fans, acoustic foam mainly just gets rid of high pitched tones from HDDs and and water pumps and there will generally just be a low pitch rumble coming from your PC.

It wouldnt be worth it unless you got low RPM quieter fans aswell.

lol.. Good to know about H100, was in two minds ;)

What fans would you put on them for a push pull setting? I've been told the scythe typhoon 1850 rpm, but 20£ a piece is steep :/

Hi there

I just purchased an H100 for my phenom 955 on socket AM3. During mounting I realized that I don't have the small squared shape holes to attach to the motherboard
I am talking about the pieces inside the AM3 fitting brackets on this pic in the bottom right part

I tried contacting corsair but so far no answer :(

Would you know where I could buythese, or would somebody using the intel brackets could spare me these please ? I am gutted I was really excited to mount it, and now very annoyed...

how is your H100 mount?

and ahh right with the H100 you cant have the big 20mm fan on the side?

plus ive not brought anything yet, looking into everything before igo out and purchase it :)

Your NZXT Phantom comes with these two small metal clips designed to hang radiators like this from the holes between the top two 200MM fans,

With the H100 you CAN have the 200mm fan on the side fine, but the TOP 200mm will need to be removed if you want fans in push pull, two on either side.
