H100i is more than annoying.

I got an H100i today, and it works ok I suppose, the main problem is the software (corsair link 2) It will not allow me to do anything except read temps. No fan control, no option to change the led colour, nothing.

I've had the usb header on and off, uninstalled the driver, uninstalled the software a hundred times and nothing.

And the firmware is 2.0.0 (corsair hydro usb)

Any ideas?

I'm going to end up selling this or sending it back and getting a custom loop if it can't be resolved.

i dont rate it personally, i tried to set one up for my mate and gave up and connected the fans to his case fan controller.

id suggest a w/c loop

I'm using the H100i and can't fault it - the software is utter crap apart from the temp reading, yet these can be done with HWMonitor and CoreTemp.

Why buy a pre-built kit for the software?

Never really worked for me from day 1.

1) Annoying whine (sounded like a crunchy hard drive) that needed a diode fix.
2) Would not control the fan speed automatically according to temp
3) The pump speed button did nothing
4) Needed a second diode fix three months later

Lost all confidence in being able to leave my PC on overnight while maxing out the CPU for renders.

Went water cooled with a V12 kit - wish I'd have done that first. H100 now gathering dust.

Had a h100i myself, software utter crap not sure if they have even brought the new FW update out yet that would fix all the issues.

Sent it back and got a xspc water cooling kit,Best choice I have made.

Have the H100i and love it. I have however never used the software and used different fans from day 1.
