H100i possible failure?

My suggestion is to read both Corsair and EKWB warranties and see how they compare. That way you see exactly what they they are.

If do read them, the 6th part of Corsair in all caps says
EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS HARDWARE PRODUCT IS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED
Followed by
Some local laws do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty may last, so this limitation may not apply in your jurisdiction.
which is only included because the law requires it.

Also take notice of how much more writing is involved in Corsair's warrantyas compared to EKWB's.

You really dont like Corsair do you? :D

I get you dont like them but you dont have to convince me, I just wanted to know if EK covered parts should they get damaged

All depends on how they get damaged. If it's defective product they replace it. I have not had to deal with EKWB, but from what I've seen they give good customer support. They took are of everyone who got the defective 'o'rings in first production Predators. They took care of eveyone who had bearing problems with the first production run EK Vardar fans.

Let's put it this way, perhaps a simpler version of our warranty when dealing with our AIO liquid cooler leak cases. As long as the unit was not tampered, meaning no physical indication at all that it's been modified in any way, and you are within our warranty period - ALL hardware that's been damaged due to coolant leak are going to be covered. This policy applies worldwide, so it doesn't matter where you are, we'll get you sorted out.

AND to make it a painless RMA process when doing damage claim, the moment you run into a leak issue, let me know and I'll personally oversee the process to make sure that we handle your case accordingly.

Reminds me, need to give my 7 year old corsair H50 rad plus fans and filters a good dusting and see if it still holds the same temps it originally did.

What you posted above and what is written in your warranty do not communicate the same thing.

The 6th part of of your warranty says in all caps
EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS HARDWARE PRODUCT IS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED
is communicating a very different statement than what you posted.

To me your warranty say unless the law says Corsair has to, nothing is covered. "ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ... IS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED" is rather hard to misinterpret.

I know you are very supportive of your customers, but you seem to be caught between a rock and hard spot here. What the company that you work for says in it's published warranty carries more weight to me (and in a court of law) than what you post in a forum.

Sorry about all of this. But you really need to get your company to re-write the warranty to reflect what you are saying .. and re-school CS staff to be more supportive. As the warranty is written, it does not give us as customers a warm fuzzy feeling about how we will be treated if we have a problem. This is backed up by the horror stories from people who have had to deal with Corsair customer support, myself included. The last time I had to deal with them it was with rep support. Even with the use rep's name in every communication there were several problems.

The new ML series fans are looking very good, especially the 120mm models.

I think your new H45 design with pump on radiator is a good first step toward improving you liquid cooler line. I have not tested it, but people i know who have say it cools much better than old Asetek design.

There is no argument about it's 'legal weight'.
The 'real world example' of how it can be applied is the fact that Corsair even says it as part of their published warranty.

For example,
We will treat you as a valued customer and as such will do what we can to be helpful and supportive
has no legal weight either,
but at least it sounds like they care.
EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS HARDWARE PRODUCT IS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED
does not sound like they care at all .. and want as little to do with us as possible .. and except for a few hard working reps trying to be supportive pretty much what happens.

Greybeard & Corsair George usually see forum posts of problems and get involved in resolving warranty problems, but it is still a nightmare scenario.

Here's an example of CS telling customer it was their polcy to the damage cost to $150.00. This is not the legal limit, just their 'policy' .. and an example of company trying to avoid paying even when legally consumer is entitled to full compensation .. to include legal fees and time spent. This one took more than 6 weeks of customers time and loss of equipment.

These problems seem to tipically take a couple months of hassling to get resolved .. and usually a rep getting involved before it is resolved .. at least in all the ones we see on web.

I have no idea how long it would take of reps like Greybeard did not back up us up.

I can see you're offended by those words so I suggest you never look at another warranty because you will see that exact phrasing come up again and again and again.

Took me all of a few seconds to find it in a microsoft warranty.

As for thinking reps just happen to turn up to public threads and try move things along where the company is being bashed... Ok...

Instead of going on as if Corsair, the company, drove over your cat with their use of common warranty phrases why don't you ask Corsair to clarify the issues that bother you and give us up to date facts.

You're quoting an old thread which is entirely one sided. I can't honestly take it at face value as doing so goes against my cynicism that I don't have the whole story and that companies will pay to end bad publicity.
