Hi All,

In non overclocked state with my Zalman fan I had idle temps of 41 degrees and OCCT 5 minute test temps of max 82 degrees.

I've now installed a Corsair Hydro H100i and my idle temps are around 79 degrees!! I won't even bother trying to run the test.

I followed the installation instructions correctly.

Any clue as to what I've done wrong?

Cheers
DK

Check you can hear / see a read out for the pump working.
Check your fans are working.
Check nothing is obstructing the rad or its fans.

Did you apply your thermal paste correctly?

Is the pump / heatsink sufficiently tightened down?

As SE says above power your pump directly off the psu not from the board

Go into bios. What's your RPM readout for cpu fan?

If you have connected the pump correctly it should read in the region on 4k and disable any settings which allow it to fluctuate.

The fan cable for the rad should be plugged into any opt_fan header.

Only saying this from personal experience as I had accidently plugged the rad can into cpu fan and the pump fan into opt_fan when it should have been other way round.

All seems ok now. The problem was that the pump wasn't facing in the right direction. They should emphasise that the pump must sit on the CPU in the correct direction.

It must have been a sitting issue then; the pump can sit in whatever way you want. It's symmetrical.

However, the backplate only goes in one way; the big hole must be facing the screws.
