H50 Temps

I got around to putting my new H50 in yesterday,
What I want know is does it take a while to bed in before temps settle ?
As temps now are 8-9c more now than they were with my Titan Fenrir.

i was looking this for mine. a few guys have said to make sure it is screwed all the way in. even the slightest gap can make a difference

I will check that they are all tight, I will give it a couple days then reseat it and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah I checked and all tight, its still a little higher than air cooler tho by 2 degrees but under load its much better. So I can live with that for now

H series CPU coolers are not anything like real water coolers

Go for a notuca if you want a frosty cpu

I didn't notice much difference in idle temps between the H50/Titan Fenrir, however under load the h50 excelled. Got my Q6700 clocked to 3.6ghz and 1.48V and doesn't exceed 68c even after 30 rounds of IBT. With the Titan Fenrir it was hitting just under 80c under the same conditions.

Make sure the pump connector is on a permanent 12v header. If you put it on the CPU fan header it could spin the pump down and increase your idle temps.

The radiator fan should be on the CPU header. The pump on a PSU splitter, PSU header, or Chasis header which is set for full speed.

Can you set the pump to a fan controller? or is that a silly question

what fans on the H50 to get those temps as they seem a bit low for an H50 even the silver arrow noctua d14 would struggle to get those temps 30 passes of IBT are you running IBT properly ? what giga flops a second did IBt report ?
