Hi Guys,

spec almost done now just the mobo and the monitor to select! woohoo (ahem sorry)

so iv been looking at mobos and notice that the i5 750, which i have, is supported on the new h55/57 boards too. What is the difference? i thought that this chipset was for the integrated gpu on the new i3/i5 cpus? notice some of the h55/57 boards have hdmi and display ports built in, but worried these would be no use without the the integrated cpu??

any help with the confusion? thanks :)

If you are going for a i5 750 then go for a P55 based board, the H55/H57's are really just for the Clarkdale (i3/i5's).

Yes they do support them, but there is no point going for a H55/H57 with an i5 750 as non of the onboard extra's will work with it as it doesn't have the built in GPU.

As such just go for the P55.
