h70 question

Hey all I am going to be getting the H70 but was wondering about power from the pump and could I run it from the 3 pin that is left over from a pwm splitter cable or is it better better just to run it off the 3 pin on the motherboard.

It's best to run it off the cpu fan header.

yes I have only trouble is the order is paid for and they dont have any of 920's in stock originally was a H80(not out until August 22nd) I ordered along with an OC'd bundle not from here

DO NOT run the pump off the CPU fan header. the pump needs full power 100% of the time.use one of the SYS_FAN headers, or whatever the 3 pin fan headers on your motherboard are called, and make sure they are giving full power in the bios (should be able to find out how in the motherboard manual)

Or, run it off the cpu fan header and set that to full power all the time. Then all the fans in your case aren't blasting like a lunatic.

ok thanks guys, but I could run it from a molex to 3 pin female that way its getting 12v all of time ?

When I had 1 of these I ended up sticking the pump on a molex, not as neat but I didnt need to worry abou the voltage going to it being varied by an oh so clever bios
