As per title, not sure which one to get as I have space for both.

Corsair H80 or a H100. To be honest I want something quiet and powerful enough to cool a 2700k @ 4.6 (which should be hard!)

Price wise theres is't much between them - just wondering if anyone here has tried upgrading from a H80 to a H100 and how it went. thanks

Zoomee I see you've managed 5Ghz out of your 2700k, which cooler did you choose In the end?

Cheers

I would have said if you are after the lowest temps then go for the h100, assuming you have room for a double radiator of course

The 5ghz was from my custom watercooling setup (120.3 rad & supreme hf) but in all honesty even that was struggling to keep my 5ghz oc cool for 24/7 useage. In the end i dropped it in favour of much lower volts n heat for 4.8ghz.

I got the h100 but cant say im that impressed. Its a very thin radiator which i stuck my 1450rpm scythe gts on. still yet to do any conclusive testing tbh guys. will be next week before i get chance

Cheers for feedback fella, I was thinking of running 4 Apache fans In push/pull config.

I am not too fussing about getting to 5Ghz tbh but would like at least 4.6Ghz and not bothered about fan noise, will be running them at full load.

Just £100 bit steep for cooler, shame I rushed and bought the taller Vengeance ram straight away. Bah :(

4.6 is really easy to cool mate. It wont matter which cooler u use because it only needs 1.28volts for me. its above that it becomes trickier to cool. Im still using stock thermal past

I have some IC Diamond 24 I could use, just pending on H80 or H100 now.
