i left my computer working overnight and now i think i am hacked but i don't know how it happend because i had firewall and antivirus running. i clicked usual website i vist on internet and some strange website loaded and told my system has been hacked. what can i do?

A website told you you'd been hacked? Claims. Its probally a scam to get you to buy some bad firewall software. None the less, what website was it? was it an internal site? (like c:\hacked.html or something) or was it a www ?

turn off system restore
remove norton if you have it (its rubbish) using this tool http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/SymNRT/1125124391/1
install ewido and nod32, run updates on both and do full scans
