right after a torrid week on MW2 with hackers and the likes i want to know, who hacks and why..? why do hackers feel it neccessary to ruin the gaming experience for all other parties..? player earlier was bragging about using an aimbot, why does he think he was great for winning by cheating? would really like to hear opinions on this absolute 'plague' on the online gaming world, we need something seriously anti-hacker to stop this crap from happening all the time. its not just MW2 where you see this either, just about every single online game i have ever played has some degree of hacking, america's army a while back was pretty horrid for it, especially aimbots.

another thing that continues to confuse me, why do so many people **** around in MW2 trying to find random places to hide, like on the wires on derail for example, or on the fence near humvees on invasion, we all know where these stupid places are so why bother, what is the thought process involved..?

I've got the PC version of MW2 and it's rife with hackers. I mean absolutely packed with them. Not only that, but occasionally IW.net dumps you into a hacked server and you end up gaining 50 levels you'd rather have legitimately earned.

I don't know about the console version, but MW2 is the worst game for hackers I've ever experienced by a hell of a margin. :(

I feel sorry for the little people to be honest, life is so bad they have to hack a game to feel better about themselves

I commented on a youtube video that was literally an advert for hacks for BC2 that some kind of business makes and sells to these pathetic people, I gave them a peice of my mind and the comments I got were incredible, they seemed to think that hacking is a perfectly acceptable thing to do

If you're a game hacker and your reading this I think you are one very, very sad pathetic person, grow some skills n00b

Can you stop people lying?

What amazes me is that people think its the norm for people not to lie and cheat (*IF* they think it will benefit themselves and family at less cost to others then ofc anyone would lie or do things they would not normally do)

Plenty of cheating is accepted as normal in other sports. e.g. football not a day goes by where some game isn't rife with cheating in play, shockingly bad referee decisions (to the extent that its bizarre how they didnt rule correctly ;) )

Its part of being human. Now take that instinct to win and put it in a sport or game where it is very easy to get away with it and the consequences are minimal.....and still tell me you are surprised at it.

I'll admit i've 'hacked' some levels on 360. Only reason being i was fed up with the game and made the decision i wouldnt prestige again (was on 7th), got lobbied up to lvl 70 9th prestige so i can finish 10th myself. Everything else, titles/emblems/challenges/kills/wins, is all legit and will stay that way. Also not using any ingame hacks as i feel they are just pointless.

There's loads of videos on Youtube of people griefing... It's really quite pathetic. And then they claim we're losers for taking things too seriously

Fifa 10 ultimate team on the 360 has stupid bug where your opponent can take control of your players and tehn score own goals and get red cards.

That just ruined the game for me as you get punished for quitting the game even though you are not the one cheating.

With fifa ultimate team there's a message (or at least there definately was when I loooked a while back) on the UT title screen telling you how to check if you're playing against someone who might be cheating and when to quit out to avoid a loss.

As for hacking on MW2 on 360 for the most part I seem to have avoided them really and tend to only play with 1 or 2 mates so I guess I'm lucky in that respect.

I guess some people find it fun to do well without having to use things such as skill and integrity on their part... mystifies me. I want to do well because I'm getting better.

So that's how I got to level 70 after owning the game for a few hours...

there was some dude the other day getting nukes around a minute into the game with only four kills, there wasn't even a countdown on the nuke either it just happened..keep adding these people to my avoided list but the list is growing huge now, how can all the hacking be allowed, is there not some way to prevent it altogether..? me mate was going nuts cause someone in our game on wasteland was using a rapid firing, infinite ammo RPG (or at least as far as i could tell), how the hell would you even do that..?

wouldn't dare even attempt to play the PC version, since you can't even votekick anyone from games like in america's army so you'd have to just leave yourself..
