Hackers on Crossfire

Is it now? Have not played it since the new maps / Viet came out on BC2. Was going to go back to it for a while but not if it has been ruined. :(

havent experienced a single hacker in my 40 plus hours on MoH  ... I guess it's like BF2142 and other games with radar and people just assume their killer is hacking !

I'm not saying there arent any hackers in the game, it's obviously going to have some due to the nature of it's gameplay but nowhere near the numbers you find if you play f2p shooters ;)

Sorry for going slightly offtopic but did anyone ever play Battlefield Heroes? Back when it was in beta it was so awesome, me and my mates played it + teamspeak and it was probably one of my best summers gaming wise :p Now though it's full of cheaters and idiots

Get in with clans/communities and and play on well moderated servers. I only play CSS on 3 servers, I know nearly everyone on each server by name (not ingame name either ) and cheaters are swiftly and cleanly dealt with.

TBH any time I play on public servers I usually see at least one bell end hacking, so i don't bother

90% of the time it's just people who are better than you.
I swear I was accused of hacking too many times on BC2 by idiots, I got kicked from servers too due to butthurt admins.

I saw in around 130 hours of BC2, maybe 2 hackers at a maximum.

I guess you didn't read what I said then?
I said, people were cheating a lot when I played and when PB was "fixed" (because it doesn't catch all) it was kicking people from servers left right and center.
2 cheaters? my left nut, I wish I only saw that many and I consider myself and above average player.

How the hell does that equate to them being better than me? Sounds more like you won't accept there are many cheats in the game, or have been lucky enough to avoid them.
I quit months ago, MONTHS. But when I did play you could guarantee seeing people getting kicked by PB every match.

I haven't played for months either, I saw 1 person who was a blatant aimbotter, he was on my team so it didn't effect me in the slightest, except for him stealing my kills, and another who got booted from the server I was in. 2 people in the course of 130 hours. Maybe there were others, but I certainly didn't see them, only very few looked suspicious.

Maybe I was lucky to avoid them? I'm pretty sure that PB was set-up on BC2 that it showed PB banning people who weren't connected to the server you were in, if the server was streaming PBBans, you wouldn't have actually encountered 95%+ of the people who were banned by PB.

I don't doubt a few people use hacks to give them advantages, but I really doubt it's as many as you think it is.

I've played BC2 since release and only seen 3 very blatant aimbotters early on in the game, haven't seen any since and still play often. It just people that can't accept that there are good players out there, I get accused often of cheating and even some of my family members. The same people who accuse you of it are so convinced you are that no matter what you say "Your a Hacker" :o

The majority of cheating/hacker rages in game are just bogus butt hurt players :D , that said, I have no knowlegde of the OP game, just was jumping in on BC2 comments :p, sorry OP.

Nawh it was removes from the server I was on.
I'm not complaining about people beating me, I never said that (to the poster after you). I'm talking purely about the amounts of people I saw getting banned and or/kicked for cheating and as mentioned, all the other games I've played in the past.

Let me reiterate, what spoils it for me is half the time you don't know if people are cheating or not, more so in the old days when cheat detection wasn't worth a damn and it's spoils the fun for me when I can't tell if it's an even playing field. You just have to assume that you are, ignore it and get on with the game.... ;)

Just avoid Medal of Honor (2010), its hack central

So true. I was playing a match last night (the valley story match) and the team I was playing, as soon as they completed one objective, the entire team appeared at the next objective. Total match play time for all objectives was under 2 minutes!

And in another match there was a guy with 47 kills and zero deaths playing as a sniper. I was also playing as a level 15 sniper and I hit him in the head 4 times and he didn't die.

It's getting harder to find a match without cheats but when you do, I actually thoroughly enjoy the game. I still get owned by really good players though :(

When I played MOH a lot when it came out I could probably guarantee that if I played any of you, I'd have wiped the floor with you and you'd have called me a cheat / using hacks - I think anyone from TFU would probably back that statement up. Reality is I was sat in the top 15 in EU rankings for about 5 weeks straight, there's so much more depth to games than people realise which is what gives others advantages over some people. I don't mean things like surround sound etc, because I don't have any of that, but learning how to read a game and paying attention to minute details, learning how to anticipate the game is what makes a decent FPS gamer - hence why I stopped playing competitive CS (long story, but a few people in our 'clan' was adamant that I hacked, to the point that he's actually packed up PC gaming completely).

As above, I'm not saying that there aren't hackers, in any game, but the reality is 90% of the time, if not more, it's simply someone better than you and you're neglecting certain details of the game (biggest one in most FPS games now is the UAV).

Get over it.

If you're that concerned, play at LAN and nowhere else, but then again there are quite a few LAN hacks floating around as well now...

Hmmm, there was a nice period for about a month when there was no hackers, but now there are some really flamboyant hacks!

In the past week, and all of a sudden there are:

- People who can run through walls
- Box glitches
- The usual aimbots
- 360 aimbots
- Lag hack
- One hit kills (particularly annoying on mutation mode)

.. I think it's rather sad that people hack (and have the audacity to stick it up on Youtube!)

Ugrh, the hackers are back on Crossfire.

Speed hacks and aimbots that don't make the avatar spin.

Has anyone actually tried using a hack and have subsequently been banned? I'm tempted to install a hack to give these people a good lesson.

lol the sad truth is fps games are a hackfest :(

there are hundreds of sites with paid undetected hacks for EVERY game .

like already mentioned people sign up pay monthly fee become l337 :(

thing is doesnt matter how much you pay for a hack theres a few things that they cant stop and you can always notice people who hack doing it.

also all pb games and ips can be linked :) also aliases so having another guide or random name doesnt help .

Yeah free to play or paid, most FPS games are rife with hacking :( aimbots seem to be losing popularity fortunatly but I notice a lot of people using wallhacks/ESP these days even players that aren't very good.

Thought I'd jump into MW2 for a bit earlier, was a bit suspicious of one guy from the start in the winning kill cam it was plainly obvious - he snapped to the "you" sign where I was as I spawned behind a wall (I was using silencer, cb pro and ninja pro) and then followed me up a flight of stairs with his crosshair despite there being a wall between me and him, then snapped to a guy who turned a corner behind him (out of field of view, no sound cues that I heard, enemy UAV wasn't up).

The truth is you can pretty much guarantee in any fps game, like it or not, that atleast 20% of the players are using _something_ these days and some games have as high as ~60% cheater player loads.

Its really sad in racing games, seeing people who've hacked the scoreboard to put silly times like 9 seconds for a race where the average is 2 minutes, and then makes you wonder about the people with really good, but potentially believable times.
