Well it started sunday night really i was just playing WOW and pc just rebooted, first time its done this on its own. It's getting old this system now its a p5k-e wifi MB with q6600 and a ati 4870. And this morning from a cold boot it went mad a fan just started up at full speed, i could hear it spinning up i think it was the video card fan. i took the case side off fast see what was spinning and cpu fan was running. Anyway when i did get it booting it came up with boot error of some kind so i had to go into the bios and set default setting and change boot order (took me sometime to remember how to do that) then it save and reboot and i'm working now oh and i did a clean out yesterday of the case of dust it was really bad so what u all think ?

Probably a combination of things that have caused the problem :( sounds like the whole system needs a good clean out, not just your case. How well is your hard drive running?

Hard drive seems to be running fine its a raptor as boot drive i have 2 other slaves, i've just got a motherboard battery the cr2032 so if the boot problem comes up again i'll change that and reset bios first see if that helps. But i'm not 100% it will be a dud battery because the date and time as not changed. But why would the speed of the fan in the case start up at full speed like i say i think that fan was the video card fan, i'm runing hardware monitor and the temp of the video card is 43c cpu core temps are #0 50c #1 50c #2 47c #3 46c
After the clean out the temps of the cpu as dropped a lot

i'm getting some of these Crash dump initialization failed! source: volmgr Event ID: 46 Level Error other than that nothing in the system event logs i can see are really big problems, after the bad boot this morning. well it didnt get as far as booting windows 7 or the bios checks.
