Erm ok this is gonna sound quite odd

Sometimes, while sleeping I can barely remember what happened in my dream, other times they are really clear and some times Im fully aware of whats happening and can control myself and interact with whats going on.

well last night was one of the "sweet Im dreaming lets go get some stuff!" dreams. and I was walking past some one who (I got the feeling) I knew, and said "hey, what are you?" and we had a chat about it all... you know, being there and being able to talk to someone that doesnt exist etc. very surreal, like I have some kind of multiple personality disorder lol... anyway when I woke up I tried to drum into my head as fast as I could what actually happened because when I wake up, it phases out really fast but I remember talking to a guy with shirt and jeans... but what ever. Anyway has anyone had those dreams where they can do what ever they like? does it mean anything?

I've also had an occasion when Im enjoying a dream, wake up, and then go back to sleep and carry on where I left off

'Lucid dreaming' I think it's called. Where you can dream about whatever you want and have control over what happens/what you dream. Been a few threads on this, have a google see what you can find.

Yes it's called lucid dreaming. And don't automaticaly assume you were talking to yourself. The dream world when you'r in it is just as real as this one and has it's own conscious inhabitants. I lucid dream sometimes and one thing i've noticed is that I keep going back to the same cities and sometimes re-encounter the same people. And in that realm the physical day-to-day realm seems like the dream plane.

If you want to increase your chances of lucid dreaming then the best thing is to meditate. Whenever I meditate for longer than 2-3 ina single day I will nearly always lucid dream that night.

Are you claiming that there are people around us who are actually just dreaming and don't exist in this reality?

No. I'm saying there are two realms and no matter which one you'r in the other always seems illusionary.

Heh, yeah I had some thing similar last night with my dreams continuing on after everytime woke up (ive got a cold at the moment so a solid night sleep is not on the cards). The most annoying thing was it was involving my ex. ARGH!!!

Well, that is interesting!

I had some wierd dreams this morning. Seriously, I was on the run with Ronald McDonald! No idea why; well, I'm pretty sure it was an actor playing him (of course it would be!?) but still. At one point we ended up in McDonalds of all places and evaded detection by switching the lights off . Damn, it was wierd. In other news, I may get a burger for lunch....

EDIT: Omg, the thread below is about McDonalds! Is there some subliminal advertising going on?!

One of the things I notice when lucid dreaming if you become to conscious that you are actualy dreaming or move your body to much, I wake up. Anyone else experiecen that?
