Had a very constructive chat with myself while sleeping last night?

We haven't even begun to tap the true power of subconcious. I remember playing a game very similar to HL2 deathmatch with 6 other people in full 3d about 8 months before the game was even released. You can and do link up with other people in lucid dream/astral plane and you can just imagine something and it will appear instataniously and the experiences will blow away any £4k super gaming pc.

ok well the next time Im gonna give everyone in my lucid dream my telephone number, or ask them theirs and ring it.

Aye, there's different methods to try and induce them. going straight from a dream into a lucid dream is called a DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream). You should try and WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream). Basically you wake up an hour earlier than you usually would, stay awake for about 45 mins, focus on the fact you want to lucid dream, recall 'dream signs' (common occurances in your dreams which could signify you're dreaming). Then go back to sleep, since your mind still needs the REM you usually have you should go straight back into a dream state, thus making it easier to lucid dream.

I shall try this next time, cheers :)

Should add some Yoga masters can instantiously lucid dream at will just by closing there eyes. That's why many of them don't seem to have any interest in pursuing material desires and objects like the latest flat screen TV or new car.

Yes it's called lucid dreaming. And don't automaticaly assume you were talking to yourself. The dream world when you'r in it is just as real as this one and has it's own conscious inhabitants. I lucid dream sometimes and one thing i've noticed is that I keep going back to the same cities and sometimes re-encounter the same people. And in that realm the physical day-to-day realm seems like the dream plane.

I've experienced that during lucid dreaming, but put it down to wishful thinking, especially considering my life was a lot better in that alternate reality.

One of the things I notice when lucid dreaming if you become to conscious that you are actually dreaming or move your body to much, I wake up. Anyone else experience that?

I find the opposite. One thing that tells me it is about to end, is if colour turns to black and white, or if I hear the wind.

because they have it all in their dreams ;)

Dhalsim and zangief were in a bar when megan fox appears on the tv - zangief replies
"phwoar she's hot no!"

to which dhalsim replies
"I'll have her one day" to which zangief laughs

"In your dreams!".....

Watched a tutorial on youtube a while back. He mentions something similar about when dreams are ending, for him they get blurry and less vivid. He believes It's like when you're normally dreaming you have tons of separate dreams per night, so when you lucid the same principles apply, you only have a certain time allowance.

He said he just waits after it all goes black and a new dream begins to manifest. He actually watches how dreams are formed, subtle sounds start appearing, blurry figures and objects form, they being to flood with colour. Would be awesome to experience.

Also a trick to stabilize a lucid dream is to either rub your hands together, or to spin around on the spot /shrugs. Not a clue why but it's said to help.

I read that its been proven that time has its own relativity in a lucid dream, people were monitored at the same length of time and were told to count during sleep and each had different answers depsite sleeping for the same period of time. tbh makes sense, time is only a measurement anyway

I get this from time to time often months apart but generally for 2 nights in a row. Completely understand about going back to sleep so you can go back to your dream, I get that a lot.

Yep, it does seem to work.

How did a discussion about lucid dreaming, a perfectly normal and frequent occurence, turn into a weirdo fest about out of body experiences and spying on your neighbour from the atsral plane?

Welcome to the human race.

There was a big thread about Lucid dreaming over a year back. One method of inducing them is to occasionally hold your fingers over your nose and then try to breathe, obviously you won't be able to. It got to a point where I was doing this about 10-15 times a day.

Eventually, about 2 weeks later I had a dream, and in the dream I did it (because it becomes a natural thing to do), and I could still breathe. Suddenly there was a realisation that I was dreaming and I felt I had control of everything. I jumped over the road, then began flying down a hill and I saw some people having sex as I flew past.

Then I woke up. I haven't had one since :(

Obviously, or I wouldn't be here seeking the real company of people I can't see or touch. :D

lol best response ever haha :D

well personally I just think about what time it is and wtf am I doing in town when I was just in my room. Confusing myself usually leads me to believe Im dreaming :p

Been watching BSG lots lately and had a nightmare last week that we were invaded by Cylons and I tried to leg it on my Quad lmao :p I woke feeling very agitated :D

Yes, thats a dream sign. If you keep a dream diary then read it back, you get to learn your dream signs. This helps you when your in a normal dream to spot them and become lucid.

Holding your nose throughout the day is a "reality check".Do them enough and you'll eventually do it in a dream, and become lucid.

This is how i got my first LD. Mind blowing stuff.

I can *Lucid* dream , i always have total control of my dreams and what i want to do and what i would like to happen.

the best way i can describe it is like having a new and extra muscle in your brain that you can trigger at any moment while sleeping.

Every nights a different holiday destination or celeb that i turn myself in to. lol

The things i can do are endless......while sleeping
