Had microwave broadband fitted - decent alternative to fibre...

Havent been able to find one that covers north east wales. Would think their would be loads in wales considering its meant to be for countryside :P

At my last place we had quite a few customers using it in the North East. The only downside is that the antenna would need clearing of snow in the winter months otherwise they'd be without the connection and have to rely on pathetic ADSL!

Then the building owners where the main mast was situated went into administration, meaning the ISP couldn't realign their kit as they normally would every few months. It meant that their entire customer base lost connection for about a month!

Had a few thunderstorms here which unfortunatly knocked out the DSLAM so it has dropped from 48 down to low 30's on average :/

I have mine though iC-Air Business Broadband 40/2 Mb/s (wireless)

http://www.ic.co.uk/products-and-services/ic-connect/ic-air-wireless-broadband/

It started off very well but install was steep about £380.00, the deal was unlimited between 6.00pm and 6.00am which meet my needs. But last month i had a phone call saying this had stopped and i had to pay £20.00 a month extra (for a 250Gb limit a month) on-top of £65.00 a month +vat making it a bit expensive. The good news is that i should have fibre optic broadband soon in the area and my 18 month contract is up as well.
I have 5 commuters connected and loads of other devices and have a BT Broadband package as well but this only gives me 4 Mbps download max, so the plan would be to upgrade BT to fibre optic and get rid of the ic-connect.

Its £1.00 a Gb over-usage as well.
