Hello guys. First of all, I only drive a 102CC scooter and I've been riding for about 2 weeks now.

I just decided to go out for a bit of a drive locally and when going down a street near me, at about 20MPH, I approached a junction and let a car out, then all of a sudden my bike just slipped from under me.

I went on the floor, luckily I didn't hurt my self, I just fell over and banged my shin a bit but I really don't know what caused the bike to slide from under me.

It was only a small road, I think I could have been to far over the side of the road, saw the car and panicked a bit. I guess I could have put my brake on a bit to hard or something and cause the bike to slide.

It just really shook me up, I'm a pussy.

Could even a slightly damp road cause a bike to slide?

Like you said, you probably just locked the back wheel and it slid.

I didn't hit the kurb, I'm sure of that. The bike landed quite far away from it.

It all literally happened with in 1 second. I was on it, then it just slid from under me...

Haha. I really don't feel like getting on that bike again. If I knew what caused the fall off I'd be more satisfied, but it's just dodgy how nothing caused it. :s

A number of factors, inexperince, the greasy wet roads and cheap hard compound tyres that offer very little grip which will be exsaserbated in this cold weather. Just take it nice and slow in the winter, least you fell off at a slow speed and not flat out round a bend.

Diesel on the road, or anything slippy left on the road
Could have been just tyre letting go, cold tyre maybe?

maybe u locked the front end up and tried to turn? i've done this on my crosser at an estimataited 35mph(granted i was on a motocross track.. dont know how this really helps

), bike slid from udner me... just jump back on it mate it can only give you experience
