Ahh, so you buy a Fireblade and limit it to 33bhp
Great idea until an idiot in a Saxo wants a race at which point it doesn't seem so great![]()
It will still beat most things off the line no problem

I have TPFT and I would have thought the insurance would still pay out for third party even though my bike is not restricted?

it is involved in a serious accident it will be tested. It is very rare for bikes to be tested, but it does happen. Been a few people on BCF caught out by it thinking it cant happen to them.

wow poor you, only £170 for me £110 if I didn't have 3 points for speeding. But I am older with full license.
How would they go about testing a bike which had been in a serious accident?

probably because he was prosecuted for something higher. Not always. There was a guy on BCF who crashed an unrestricted SV at high speed. He was prosecuted for it, but the bike was never tested.
But I agree its not worth the risk.

But you could have an accident which isn't your fault and someone gets injured and then you would be screwed.
I know it's a bad idea what I'm doing but my reason for doing it is I've only just gotten my bike which is over 33bhp and I'm 21 in august and will have an unrestricted license then so I thought I will just wait...

untill then you are riding with no licence or insurance
