Haddock

Hey,

Was gonna give this haddock recipe a spin, but only have smoked haddock fillets. They still say on the pack to oven bake them for 20mins, but they are dark yellow rather than the usual white fillets (like this).

Will that recipe succeed with smoked fillets? Or should I splash out for the standard stuff?

Also, any other recommended haddock recipes?

The yellow is a chemical smoke. That recipe says smoked or unsmoked. Proper cold smoked Haddock normally has the skin still on it so you would have to peel that off before you cook that recipe.
Kedgeree is good for mildly smoked Haddock
 
I first coat the fillet in plain flour and dip it in egg just before pan fry it. Serve it with wasabi/soy sauce and slice of lemon. Simple yet effective...
