Hades

started playing the 2nd one yesterday - its good but i don't know what half the bonuses they mention actually mean.

There's literally a popup on the right side that explains every single power up when you hover over them? I was actually impressed with how detailed they are. I don't particularly remember them from Hades 1, but the fact that it goes as far as reminding you what a region/location/area/etc. is, as well as all the buffs/debuffs is very welcome.

Not long picked up Hades, great game but not quite gelling with kb/mouse controls, is a controller a must or is it worth persevering with kb/mouse controls?

I'm a staunch PC gamer and use a K&M wherever I can, but I use a controller for Hades. It gives better movement control, which in a game like Hades I think is most important. Aim assist mostly helps offset the mouse aim accuracy. Also, not that they are the be-all-and-end-all of how you should play a game, but all Hades speedrunners opt for a controller because of the movement control, so make of that what you will.

I am now within touching distance of the true ending.

I have 3 more runs to do. Defeat Chronos, defeat Typhoon then final defeat of Chronos for true ending.

It's true the game is hard and seems impossible when you first start. But now I'm 60hrs in the game is easy only the final bosses of the run are somewhat difficult with Typhoon being genuinely tough due to how much health he has.

However do some research in to what arcana to use and choose gods which compliment each other and the weapon you are using and the game becomes much easier.
