Just got my new haf x and corsair ax1200 for the start of a new build.
And did you know you can swap most of the haf x parts with the haf 932!! Gonna use my origanal windowed side panel from my 932 as i have four led cooling fans on there and. may be stick the hotswap drive bays to the top of the haf X and get an extra 120mm fan in the front

What's the case like?noisy or quiet?easy to clean filters?good temps?

Getting one myself soon and can't wait.:D

Cant realy comment on the cooling yet cos running cpu in . But for me the haf 932 better cooling. The problem with the 932 is the motherboard panel every thing to low. where in the haf x motherboard in higher and still room for rads and fans. I have extra fan in bottom of case in 932 and extra in the front and in the top. I use 4 120mm fans on the 932 sidepanel. plus the fans that come with the 932 230mm are more powerfull and just as quiot. May be i wrip the back panel and motherboard tray out of the haf x and put it in the 932. That would be my perfect air cooled case

It should be a good difference from my Antec 902? space-wise/cooling/noise/features? (what's really let me down with my current case is the dust filters being a real pain to clean each time and fans on high are loud)

haf x anint any better there a pain . And why would you put a filter on an exhaust fan which will also restrict its flow .
Havn't had it 24 hours yet and allready finding faults. don't get me wrong i love they case and so will you . But as an engineer I dont understand how there designers can make these simple faults

I've downsized from Corsair 700D to HAF-X. Miles better cooling, just as quiet and a smaller footprint too. OK it's a little tighter inside, but the increase in airflow far outweighs any minor decrease in case width.

What case would you recommend then? upto £250 or so....i just want real good cooling and easy to clean filters/low noise if possible.

I was also considering the FT02B but i do not like the way the airflow works since if you get dust underneath the case that could be a pain somewhat hindering the airflow.(the case is very nice though)

I might just go with the HAF-X since it surely has to beat this....i not been impressed much with my 902.

Nice case HAFX me thinks! just missed it when I ordered my Antec1200, I was between HAF932 adn Antec1200, but if HAF X was there I wouldn't have thought otherwise.

haf x is very good value . I had a choice of what ever case was out there and i went with coolermaster. But its just me i allways find fault and modify but thats been my job for the last 25 years. Don't forget you can allways mod your case to the way you want it. Like I said my perfect air cooled case would be a cross between the 932 and haf x. Plus haf X has gorgeous black inside i hade to spray my 932. Those hot swap drive bays are great. And tons of space. My choice was a haf X. Don't buy a 800d unless you gonna full watercool cpu and graphics. Useless at air cooling so many for sale second hand cos ther crap at air cooling .

ive just done the same, went from a 800d to a haf-x and glad i made the move now.

my 800d is for sale on the members market if anyone is interested :)

how does the haf x cope with dust? ive seen reviews on youtube and they say it has dust filters but its just small mesh holes, how can they call them filters?

my p182 has proper dust filters:

looking to change cases and the haf x is on top of my list, just need to make sure it isn't going to require weekly clean outs lol

the haf-x has a large dust filter on the front and is very easy to take off and clean.

The vga duct
Does this only work when the cards are in a certain config on the mobo ( on top of each other ) with hardly any gap ?
Also
The megaflow 200mm fans, are these also compatible with the hafx, reason I ask is on a competitor site its list of compatible cases does not include the hafx, the other haf's it does though
Also lol
The fans on the case, do they use molex or 3/4 pins?
Is a fan controller recommended for this case ?
I plan to get another 200mm for the top and use a 120 for the VGA duct
