haf X

You can fix the VGA duct in (which is optional) to cover one or all cards; depending really on just how many you're going for but there are some tri-sli setups it will handle. It has multiple positions it can be mounted in not just one.

I took mine off for now as I'm using a twin-fan graphics card that expels the heat out both ends, the duct would just be causing contraflow. If you have cards that take in air at the end and run it along the card and out at the back of the case then the duct is perfect.

All the fans were 3-pin mobo types, connected into optional molex bridges. I took all the molex bridge bits off and just used the 3 pin headers to either PSU or mobo.

Wouldn't know what a megaflow was if it was in front of me :)

Just got the Haf-x and compared to my old Antec case it's huge!

Am impressed so far, still not 100% sold on it's looks but am after a decent air-cooler and this is one of the best.

Build quality is ok feels a bit plasticy but as long as the edges are smooth and it doesn't cut my fingers during the build thenit's not as though case is going to get much abuse.

Overall for the price am impressed.

Matt

Regarding filters i just bought some stainless modelling mesh for 7 quid for a peice 3x1 foot will be great for filters.
So now i have my side panel on my haf x from my 932 with 4 fans pushing 280 cfm in the side an additianal 120 in the fron pushing 70cfm .
Using the haf x side panel on my 932.
Hows that for positive air flow.

RE: the modelling mesh... if I were to make a dust filter that fitted behind the fan, would that do the same job? I know the fan itself would still get dirty but would it stop the dust in the same manner?

eg. piece inside the fan, bent over the edges of the fan and held in place with a (strong) rubber band...

Would make it SO much easier to clean the damn thing then!! lol

I suppose that is the better idea... I was just hoping to create a simple, toolless (even if slightly bodged) design for my filters hehe

I don't need a screwdriver to fit my optical drive, so I don't particularly want to use one to clean my fan filters!
