haggling advice

to get a good deal you have to be willing to cancel.

phone up at the start of a new month so you 3-4 weeks to let them stew.

so phone up straight after your bill has gone and say you want to cancel at the end of the month because its to expensive, if they dont offer anything go ahead with it. they will normally call back with a few days left and offer something to make you change your mind.


with all haggling, you have to be prepared to walk away.
 
Phone them up and say your canceling if they cant offer you a good deal, they probably wont, so say ok Ill cancel then - which takes a month. Shortly before the cancellation is due to happen they'll most likely call you and offer you a better deal.

If they don't you can always call them and say you've changed your mind and don't want to cancel.
 
I want a cheaper sky deal too but I'm a lazy consumer (same with utilities) who can't be bothered with the hassle to save a few quid.

Better the devil you know and more time to myself etc etc.
