I need to decide whether to shave my head again or not. A certain pretty lady says not and says I should grow it. A receding hairline and long hair. Nice :/

See, I'd say that to be a man I'd need to shed girly locks. Man = shaved head. Girl = long hair.

Try and grow it long. I was the same as you Gilly in the sense that I thought long hair = Gay, but now my hair is longer, looks loads better.

I have had it long before. When I was in my early teen angst Nirvana bleached-look stage. Took ages to clean it and style it though. Don't wanna have to do that again. And I didn't have a receding hairline then. I don't want to look like I've covering it up, cos I don't really care about it, I just want to avoid looking a nonce, which I think I would with long hair.

You look like a little thug with your hair short and although how you "look" to people may not bother you, it would explain why old ladies' get scared when they walk past you in the street.

I reckon the first one, as you can't really notice the hairline issue. It's made more obvious with longer hair, because your hair is dark.

And to my knowledge, chicks don't dig receeding hairlines.

Long hair: need to spend time cleaning it, you need to buy cleaning products for it, you need to dry it, you need to brush it, you need to style it
Long hair: you look either queer or like a girl and it often looks greasy even when it isn't
