Valve have already said the Episodes are basically HL3.

Plus they have already said they will be upgradeing the HL2 engine as time progresses, not make a whole new one.

I call fake, or at least nothing to do with Valve.

Looks CG to me, with a filter (Sepia?) to make it look HL2-esque.

Couple of generations though, should deffo see graphics like that. Whether its 'HL3' or not.

I doubt it'll have as good gameplay as MGS1 though, which, depite it's very dated graphics is still my favourite game of all time.

They're adding functionality to the engine and/or reorganising how it works internally. Nothing as drastic as a whole new version
