I dunno how to feel about this. On one hand its a new Half Life game. On the other hand it looks like its not the actual conclusion to the story we were all hoping for. And VR exclusive?! That's not great for the majority of us who don't have VR.

My view for a long time now is that Valve are too concerned that a full Half Life sequel won't live up to the hype. Games have progressed so much and Valve have so many other profitable irons in the fire.

I do feel that the steam platform is really under threat now that other competitors are available and this may be what refocuses Valve's efforts back to software again.

Well it's not Half Life 3 for a start.

But lots of people upgraded their PCs specifically for Half-Life 2 (remember the ATI vouchers)?

If it's that good, it could help to sell VR to the masses

Though not if the Valve index remains at £919!

If it was HL3 maybe, but it's not, so I for one won't be buying into VR for some prequel that doesn't advance the story.

Having said that, Opposing Forces and Blue Shift were pretty good.
