half of the internet broken??

hello all,

well, after putting in a wireless router, i can't access half the internet
facebook, digg, random other sites

have upgraded firmware for router, no help
changed dns from isp to opendns in router, no help
changed dns in windows tcp/ip settings, no help

any thing else i can do?? seems to be very random!!

have you tried changing your MTU to 1500

its a speedtuch 585
i'm ashamed

i found how to do it
i changed it to 1500
still nothing
then 1400
still nothing
then 576
still nothing
now i can't get this forum!
time to order a new i think

Just get a better router dude. Linksys/Netgear etc.

Well you can bag a decent one for around the 50 mark. I used to have a Linksys WAG200G when I was on ADSL then had the Netgear DG834GT which was total arse though I blame that on the sky connection itself mainly.

Speedtouch 585 is a nice router, try a factory reset on it and then try the MTU change http://www.zensupport.co.uk/KnowledgeBase/article.aspx?id=10561

ive tried factory reset, through the admin panel and the push hole thing on the back
and changed the MTU through telnet
still no luck!

Is this router from BE* by any chance? If so, try changing the DNS servers as there servers are a bit crap sometimes
