Just worried because they're new desks and I have heard about landlords that withhold deposits unfairly for the smallest things, especially with student tenants as the landlords think they can just walk all over them as they have less experience and will probably just pay up to avoid the hassle. Lots of students are completely unaware of their rights as tenants and just go along with what the landlord/letting agency demands, even when they are blatantly being ripped out of money.
 
How does the surface on this compare to the boogie bug xl? Had my boogie for a while now and it's getting a bit tatty. Mouse im using is a Logitech G500.

I think they may be OK if you cut them, the top felt might appear a little frayed at the edge but it should look OK if you do it carefully. You wouldn't be the first to cut one up. :)

As a side not though, dust sticks to them quite well as well if you leave them long enough. :p

Thanks for the information, I think I will give it a go they only cost £12.99 for the bigger size.
