Half Soveriegns

Anyone any knowledge? I've scoured the net and found nothing about this coin i have except it was never minted. :confused:

Its a 1966 Half sovereign in mint condition in its own display. Can anyone through anything in to help?

EDIT ignore, i've found out why. It's a bloody full sovereign.

Half sovereigns were minted from 1980 onwards in modern times but were around much earlier also

is it a proof or just a normal sov in a case?

even if it isn't a proof coin, if its in good nick and it has its own case you might be able to get as much as £200 on the bay.

Its not in a case but it is in its own package. Wont be selling it though TBH was just looking out of curiosity. If it was worth several times that it'd b gone though
