Halifax Going Down?

Anyone else noticed that the only people who seem worried about this and seem intent on causing a bank run are old people. When Northern Rock were having trouble earlier in the year they interviewed some of the people trying to withdraw their money and the vast majority of them must have been over 60 and most of them probably had a lot less than 35k! Silly old people.

Maybe they are like me and it will take about 70 years to save up anything like £35k,unless I sell my house quickly in which case I will have about £200k

it is funny how people get all stressed without knowing the full story (not a dig at you o/p but more to the queueing masses)

isn't the new merged company the biggest financial company in the UK now anyway? If so they're not gonna go anywhere soon. I'd be more worried if I was a HBOS employee...it's gonna be branch closure central soon!! :)

I feel sorry for the nice lady that fixed my bank account so cheerfully a couple of days ago, hope she doesn't lose her job. :(

I'm going to go to Halifax now and max out my overdraft they will be dead tomorrow!

I heard this from my mate, Philip 'Who gives you extra' Halifax.

people are so stupid, their bank was at risk a while back but now is being bought out and is safe, "i'll take all the dosh out now and hide it under my mattress waiting for jonny h scaghead to nick it until the daily mail stops writing about it."

Oh hell, my daughter owes me £40 and I have to go to Halifax tomorrow to get it out of her book. I hope there are not huge queues.
Couldn't you just ask her to go to the cashpoint or get some cashback or something?

Ignore the news - all banks everywhere will crash and burn tomorrow. Except the one in Zimbabwe. You all know what to do.
