Halifax screw up!

Hello all,

I recently transferred from Santander to Halifax (yay!) and have just received a phone call from my loan company saying where is our payment. I used their switch service thinking it would be pain free... how wrong was I!

I have just had to make a card payment immediately to sort it out and set up the direct debit again.

Am I right in saying that my credit history will be affected? If so do you think its worthwhile writing a complaint letter to Halifax?

Cheers

Forget about it, I too though it would be pain free switching banks and for most of it it was with the exception for a few DD. Just make sure you have not paid twice becuase they were expecting it from your old bank or something .

Halifax do nothing but screw up, worse bank by far have every had. Went wrong with the application and continued from their on in. Utterly useless.

Best bank i've used. had nothing but problems with alliance and leicester/abbey/santander. The only problem i have with halifax is i can't send my rent to my landlord via bank transfer as i get pulled by fraud protection every time :o Stupid german bank or whatever it is she uses

Halifax just gave me a very decent deal on my home insurance, of course after moaning about the dumb ass renewal quote.
Never used them to claim of course, but hey, i feel safe. Just like wearing a bicycle helmet during a nuclear strike.
