Yeah my mum does this, she buys sweets because we live in an area densely populated by families with young kids and they usualy go up and down the street dressed as dracula/princess's etc and she thinks it's nice to play along.

Every year we get at least one group of teenagers who think its funny, I usualy just look at them, laugh and then close the door, the street always has a few people on it so they wouldn't dare throw anything.

My last Halloween costume was Edward Scissorhands and it rocked.
I have a Predator** mask but a costume for that is a lot of work so that'll be rolled out another year!
