i unhooked my Wii, found my component cable hooked that up, and am now downloading the map packs.

Suppose whilst i have it hooked up via component i will update forza, get some practice in for forza 2

/walks off mumblings something about backwards compitibilty

If any of you are playing for the first time I recommend putting up the sensitivity on the controller upto around 6'ish the default is 3 and is slow as hell.

You kidding at all? I had it on default and it span so fast, it gave me headache. Spose i just need to get used to it lol

Halo2 requires very quick aiming. It has huge amounts of auto aiming so you need quick and not really precise movements.

I spent longer downloading the mps than playing. Was not my thing at all. Dunno why guess I missed the whole xbox thing. Jumped to the 360 and I know its a space shooter but I just didnt feel part of the shooting. As though when I fire in other FPS it feels like your aiming and shooting a gun. This felt more like waving a toy gun around. And whats with the aiming at times it felt like it was auto aiming for a few seconds?

I know I didnt play the SP but going from the 360 as your first online experience to halo just felt poor to me. In its day to people that remember it first time sure it must have been good but everything from shooting to movement just didnt feel like I was part of the game, more moving the scenary around me if that makes sense.

I certainly wont be buying the 3rd

You didn't miss much, It really didn't have the atmosphere of our GoW matches.
