HALO 3 Official Thread

I downloaded them as they came out yesterday, awesome maps though I'm slightly dissapointed in lockout due to making jumps easier, and not being able to jump on door frames (this was a good tactic for one flag)
 
Really don't like blackout.

I get lost when playing it, all the corridors look the same to me, preferred lockout.

Sure i'll get used to it though!

I like all three. Blackout naturally had to be different to lockout as halo 3 is a different game with different playstyles and attributes/assets. I'm surprised at how well ghost town plays as it doesn't really look or feel like a traditional halo map.
 
I really dont know what to think about Blackout - I mean I like the map, but the walkways are far far wider than they were in Halo 2, and theres the fact that I really dont think the weapon work on that map. Dual wielding just dosnt work in Halo 3 very well, and the map is basically meant for it.

The whole map is more square and squat.

I've had better.

Blew up a enemy on a mongoose in the middle of high ground with a rocket and the mongoose flew and landed on the enemies freshly spawned team mate at the beach :p From the guys point of view he spawns, looks left then right and then gets splattered by a flying mongoose :p

I think it's still on my file share.
 
He didnt do the glitch himself, but once he found it he took advantage of it.

If you look next to me @ the 3 minute mark you will see it appear right next to me, but he doesnt start using it until the 8th minute where it just looks like he is lagging all over the place near his base. I'm sure if we could have gotten close enough we would have been able to kill him.
 
Online achievements, anyone know why after getting a splatter in a mongoose and a tripple kill in a ranked free for all playlist I didn't get the achievement? Is it like the headshot one where you have to do it multiple times?
