Checked ebay just now, tons of legendarys going for sale, cheapest ive seen on buy it now £125, most expensive £200. All that for a plastic helmet. 
One of thems claiming the us version will work on uk consoles. Would have though it would be region locked like any other game.

MS dont region lock games, they leave it up to the publisher to decide if a game should be region locked. about 90% iirc games are not region locked

It is region free, one shop is advertising them as region free and confirming that it works on uk pal consoles.

i saw the "standard" ending, then Bungie thanks message then bong! Menu - i was on Co-Op though? Hmm ill investigate after work
So the only real diff between legendary and limited is the helmet? I think limited gets both bonus discs as well does it not?

On the graphics front, anyone else think that the cut scenes are a bit like the 'picture mode' in PGR'3 ie tweaked heavily? Playing co op my mate said during one cut scene "Now THATS what the game should look like!" Have to say i agreed. The biggest let down visually was the floor/wall textures etc One tunnel we drove a warthog through a few times (on account of some MS update that kept kicking one of our party) looked like it had climbed off a 3dfx card, no joke!
The problem is, couple the sketchy visuals with the poor level design and repetetive mission structure and its hard to give the game good comments. The multiplayer , however, looks astonishing!

The cut scenes will just be mpegs and will have a lot of post processing done on them. I thought that was standard practice in a lot of games.
IMO it is better to have the cut scenes match the visuals of the engine rather than jump all over the place between great cut scenes and mediocre in game visuals*
I haven't played Halo 3 yet, that is just my opinion on all games

It was that bit that peeved me, I kind of wanted closure to the trilogy.
