Halo 3 - same 'ol, same 'ol

What more can you ask from a FPS? It has new weapons, pickups & levels. Unless you wanted it to turn into some sort of CHESS FPS! where you choose which piece to move and then battle it out, grunt (pawn) vs grunt. lol

The story and glitches (multiplayer) is what let Halo 2 down. As long as they don't screw these up. I'm happy :)
 
The graphics are a lot cleaner than the MP beta, that kinda-annoying jaggy look has (for the most part, foliage still suffers slightly) been smoothed out

And I just want more Halo 1. Give me back the open battlegrounds and spectacular fights. I don't want new stuff, I have Bioshock for that :)

Halo 3 is for the fans. :)

i remember playing halo 1 at a friends and was always dying to keep playing.
then i go tit for PC and couldnt stop playing it, completed it in a few weeks (not playin 24/7 cos i had to sleep and go out)

then i got a 360 + halo 2... i was pretty dissapointed with halo 2 after a while, ended up playing saints row till i completed it and i couldnt get back into halo 2 so i got GoW.

Halo 2 is kinda poop. might complete it tho so i know whats going on for halo 3.
think ill be getting a preowned halo 3 tho or atleast wait till price drops. not paying £40 for a game. £30 max for me :p

the 4 player co-op over live sounds fun tho. so i might be tempted to buy it for £40 after all so i can play it co-op with a friend + his clan :p
 
Yeah, Halo 2 is considered one of the biggest video gaming upsets in recent history. Even Bungie has openly said they 'screwed up' with Halo 2. I cannot stand it, personally. A contrast to Halo 1 really, which is so unbelievably awesome it's uncanny. It's almost like Bungie tried to make Halo 2 worse.
 
There was only 1 good thing about Halo 2 and that was the online play and system.

I never bothered with the single player, Arbiter levels were crap.
 
Is there only me who's not bothered about Halo 3? I think im more looking forward to getting my 2100 points card so i can play bomberman than this? or it might be that i didnt give halo 1 + 2 a chance?

Funny because in the Bioshock threads that seemed to be the opinion, yet Halo3 is exempt that same rubbish.

I would probably have tried this game, but there is so much out over the next 2 months I will hold off til later on.
 
4 player co-op over live is far from the 'same ol'.

On the multiplayer side, the forge mode sounds pretty innovative. They are linking it to the website too, so you can download new gametypes directly. The latest podcast on bungie.net talks about it, sounds very interesting.

Nothing wrong with that, I thought FFVII was crap compared to VI and we all have our different opinions.
 
Hmmm, yes. I was quite put off by the fact that whilst watching a low quality trailer my friend actually mistook it for the original Halo. Halo just better graphics :(
