Halo 1 was originally a PC game
Halo 2 was exclusively for Windoze Vista, but later ported to Xbox.

Halo was originally a Mac game in fact. Bungie was a Mac developer (they are famous for the Marathon and Myth games) and was major force to be reckoned with long before Halo was released. It's why Microsoft bought them.

Bungie single-handedly carried the fledgling Mac gaming industry and nobody remembers this which is a real shame. They are the fathers of Mac gaming.

Everything since has been XB only.. which is a complete and utter shame.

Written, programmed and developed on a PC to be sold on a farking console.. when with a little effort a PC version would be a doddle.. But the STUPID ******* T*ATS in suits only want it on XB because they literally don't care about the PC, regardless of how much money it would make.

But the console variants were first....

Halo 1 was originally being developed before the xbox even existed IIRC, however once Microsoft bought Bungie it was made into an xbox release. The PC version came after.

Halo 2 was always aimed for xbox first, again the PC one came after (and probably had terrible sales due to it trying to force people into upgrading to Vista at a time when Vista was generally hated).

Since then, Halo has practically became the Mario of the xbox so the chances of it seeing any more PC releases is slim to non existant.

To the point getting any halo on the Pc is not going to happen as its a selling point for the xbox if it was a pc people might by a Pc and not an Xbox but the silly thing is doesn't microsoft make money from both :p
