***Halo MCC***

Great. UK live digital pre-order, all 59GB already downloaded but its not letting me play. At 00:01 'play on 11.11.14' switched to install, which very quickly rose to 100%. But since then the game has been updating albeit slowly as if its redownloading the whole game again (lots of reddit and NeoGaf poster suggesting this is the case).

Tried a full shutdown and powering on but hasn't helped. Will try again tomorrow.

EDIT - Just seen on NeoGaf that you shouldn't click on Install and back out of the app and wait for the prompt to change to play. Can't remember clicking install but if I did I guess like many I was too eager to play the game.

I don't remember clicking install and had the initial pre-load installed since the 29th October and the 15GB patch once it was available. But my console clearly re-downloaded the entire game again. Maybe the original download was corrupted, or they have have changed the master file somewhere. I pre-ordered the digital version of Sunset Overdrive and experienced no issues with that game so just a heads-up to anyone else that pre-loaded the digital version and hasn't started it yet.

Anyway game had finished re-downloading this morning and was ready to play. Although I've only had a quick run through the first level of Halo CE:A...wow. What a collection. It's a love letter to all things Halo. So much content and so great to play the original in 1080p/60fps goodness (particularly without the PAL60 stuttering, anyone else remember that?). Haven't tried MP although I've read there have been issues with matchmaking.

Can imagine MS might do a Gears or War Trilogy Collection at some point but there are some other game series I wouldn't mind being updated in this manner. I've love to see Reach/ODST games as DLC.
 
Did you go stright to Halo 2?

Im playing through it all in order, but my god jsut exploring the menus/ sub menues ( which all work really really well to tie all of the games in!), their is a ridiculous amount of content in this!


I wonder how long it would take to play every multi-player map through typical death match?
 
Going to give this a go shortly, left it downloading overnight. Got a refund for my digital copy of COD:AW so thought I would use it to buy this. Can't wait to try Halo 2.
 
I begrudgingly paid £47 for this from HMV. My local Tesco and Sainsburys had sold out and GAME wanted £50! It was totally worth the walk across town with a horrendous cold to pay £3 less rather than give them any of my money.
 
Really can't wait to play through these. I love the HALO games, but always felt they suffered being at 30fps.

Ordered an Xbox One bundle that should come tomorrow, so that's the next few weeks sorted :D

Shame they didn't include Reach and ODST though, would have been great to have the whole set.
 
Just it was cheaper via download, jsut saying it would have been an option.

I cant see myself ever selling this kind of huge collection.
