Been out of the console forum for a while so forgive me if these have already been posted but Bungie have stuck some screenshots up for this here

I think it's looking really good, can't wait for this.

In what way is it going to be different from the other Halo's? Or wont it be?

For you probably nothing at all will be different except better graphics, for fans of the series we will have to wait until May when the Halo Reach beta should take place. Nothing else has been shown really so nobody will know anything about the game until the Beta.

The video looks amazing, but the screens less so. No reason not to look forward to another Halo game. ODST was alright.

I lost my love for Halo after playing 2. Each successive game after Combat Evolved has got worse. I wonder if Reach is the one to break the cycle.

I want it to play like Star Wars: Republic Commando where you control a squad of three others.

i hope it's good, each successive halo since CE was a step down imo. i think number one was the closest bungie have ever been to 'the perfect game', the atmosphere, the weapons, the environment, the vehicles, level plan and multiplayer (LAN) and it's timely entry in to the market has made it hard (and up until now, impossible) to beat. in my opinion of course.

i hope this will break the trend.

The fps debate in the other thread has reminded me:

Will this run at a decent frame rate or is it still limited to the horrendously low frame rate of the Halo 3 games?

Nobody knows, first chance anyone will have to play it is in May or late April at the very earliest.

All I can tell from the screens is that the lighting is vastly improved.

We must be playing different games, it's always consistently 30 frames per second for me on both H3 and ODST.

Quite surprised at the subdued Halo bashing in this thread.

He means online. Firefight has a terrible framerate online and Halo 3 MP has a crap framerate aswell, just not as bad as firefight can be. I'm just hoping the laggy framerate in Halo 3/ODST was down to the Halo 3 engine not being designed/optimised for 4 player co-op, since it was added in at the last minute.

It's a brand new engine for Halo Reach so it might actually be better this time (not getting my hopes up though).
