Hammond Critical - Top Gear Car Crash!

the average human response time is 0.75s

Its ridiculous to think that. I don't know how that article came up with those figures but 0.75 seconds is way too long. for example, my reactions are usually between 0.2 and 0.25 seconds and I'd add another 0.15 to that for movement to apply brakes or whatever.

harsh as it sounds its true.

i read the other day, that the BBC will not show the crash untill hamster is back on TV. So sounds like they will be showing it on Top Gear on his return.

let the mocking comense!! lol

hope he is ok, and not going to be to long :)

Looking good. Methinks he'll be back at home by the end of this week.

Seems like all the "OMG cancel the show!" FUD has died down too. I think the BBC was possibly getting ready for the worst when they hinted about cancelling the show.

i'd like to think there will be absolutely no permanent damage to Mr.Hammond, however i've yet to hear anyone say FULL and not GOOD recovery when talking about him.
i really hope this is down to a poor choice of words rather than they know more then we do.

I agree that information is a little hard to come by now... Kind of annoying I would like to know how he's getting on.

Its because his family asked for no more information to be released about him, so the only info comes from Clarkson and May visiting him.

I wonder if they will ever show the Crash on t.v ?

Provided he makes a full recovery and is back on TV, then I would guess that even he would want it shown, likely on Top Gear.

EDIT - Should have read the news link on the previous page. Good man!
