handbrake is called e-brake?

Honestly with this thread and the battery booster thread you have to wonder just how so many of you are ending up with completely dead cars enough for this to be an issue.

It seems we're big on hypothetical situations the average person might go an entire lifetime of driving without encountering on this forum at the moment.

I'm sure you could come up with a hypothetical situation that explains why we shouldn't have automatic gearboxes, electric windows or even internal combustion engines at all.

My job is literally to think of ways out of 'what if' situations and either prevent them or work around them.
These hypothetical situations do occur and can be deadly.

There is an inherant danger and or risk in everything. Those risks should be eliminated where possible or minimised at the very least. Jaguar did that when they redesigned the electronic boot release that couldn't be opened without power ;)

Thank you Fox. That was my view of the discussion aswell.

Basically chaps you all need to get on your bikes... you know cos they still work when the battery dies.

Most ebikes have an auxiliary backup system.
They're called pedals.

Honestly Jonny and Fox patting each other on the back and considering it case closed because they agree is the best thing ever. :D

Tempted to throw a cat amongst the pigeons and tell them that BMW and JLR suck and that Audi are the best and smartest and the Kings of infotainment, handling and refinement.

It was flooding in my case, all electrics to the car gone.
