handbrake light, amuzing issue...

I'm having a similar issue with my car, the HB light just won't go off though! It's only really started to develop as the weather got colder..I dunno if its just coincidence.

My old Citroen did that. There's a little sensor/switch thing at the base of the lever usually. Pull back the covering and have look and fiddle about with the wire coming from the brake. If the light on the dash flickers or goes out when the brake is released, the switch could be stuck.
