Hangover rating

Ah, to be a student again. Had a few 4* in my time, never any higher though.

Looking at the above comments, I'm glad I don't drink any more :).

Gotta love the people who go to work with hangovers. When i worked at pizza hut most of the front of house would call in sick with hangovers, whilst the kitchen would nurse their own in the back and have a laugh since we were practically still drunk.

I've hit all the levels on the scale and probably went a little over it before.

But now i like to spend my money on more sensible things, so try to avoid going out so much.

I think I had a 7 once. All the symtoms of 6 but the retching went on all night none stop.

I couldn't touch food for 3 days. I really do mean that. Could not face eating at all. I swore I wouldn't touch alcohol again and indeed it was 3 weeks before I could even face any at all. Much longer before I could even drink enough to get a 2 or 3 on the hungover scale.

The cause was a full bottle of vodka consumed over two hours.

In the first year at Uni, every day was pretty much 6 stars.

But now I'm in the final year, I probably average at about 3 stars every 5 weeks.

I had a solid 6* on new years eve 2010-2011 :D Genuinely the worst hangover of my life, I threw up for about 14 hours straight (I kid you not) and then woke up on the Sunday (bearing in mind new years eve was friday) with what was probably a 3*

I drank a 750ml of Skittles Vodka straight in one night, in addition to all the pints and stuff.

I felt like death the next day, the day after my headache had gone but I was still quite ill and my stomach ached.
The stomach ache lasted for another few days, and I recovered.

Never again!

Never had a 6 here - a few 5s, but nothing as persistent as a 6 beyond the first hour or so of violent expatriation. Normally 1 or 2 unless I head out on a big night (i.e. don't get home until the sun's up)

I've had a 6-7 before.

For whatever reason I drank 650ml of whiskey inside of an hour, decided it was time to go clubing by myself.

Past out at the bus stop and ended up biting through my lip (all the way).
Got carried home by two police men (10pm), got stuck in the bathroom with the light off and started crying. My flatmate talked me through unlocking the door.

Woke up the next morning blood everywhere (from my lip).
I spent most of the day crying in bed because I couldn't drink anything without being sick and I thought I was going to die because of dehydration.

At some points I would drink a can of coke or half pint of water just to have the 2mins of time with some juice inside me.
The last time I was sick was 1am the next morning, the next day picked up at a 3-4 rating.

You only do that once.

Managed a 6 last year on holiday. I was told I danced with and tried chatting up a girl right in front of my Gf in order to help my mate pull her mate, the main flaw in my drunken plan being it was just me and my Gf out that night....

Im at either end of the scale, its either a 6 or 1-2 for me. I seem to have a limit that as long as i dont pass im relatively hangoverless, but one or two more drinks and all hell breaks loose!

I've had a 6.5* before....I was actually sent home from work for being too drunk and continuing to throw up at work :(

Usually don't get worse than a 3* though :)

I generally find a pint of fizzy-good solves the majority of hangover problems - provided, of course, you can keep it down for long enough for it to be effective.

2* is the one I get most often, but I only drink heavily enough when I don't have work the next day!

I have been known to get 4* but usually if I'm gonna puke I puke when i get home, down some water and fall asleep, well into a coma. End up still shattered the next day as heavy alcohol sleep isn't really restfull, it's more like being knocked out by Tyson. :p

had a 6 about 2 times now.

The first was new years day about 3 years ago. Cant remember the majority of the night but woke up on someones couch about 12 hours later...managed to literally crawl to the shower to clean my self up and passed out in it. Woke up about 45 minutes later with the shower still going and me sprawled across the floor.

Then proceeded to get a lift back home and thinking i had managed to make it all the way without passing out/spewing was quite chuffed when we got to my street. Pulled up on the drive and Spewed all my insides out. Really didnt think i was capable of holding that much :( Luckily I had the sense to take a plastic bag with me so it didnt go all over the car, but certainly wasnt pleasent. Felt awful for about 2 days after that one.

The second time was when i was on the town in Durham just before christmas, the one before last. Was snowing quite heavily and it was thick on the ground, plus i was retarded enough to only go in jeans, a shirt, leather shoes and a thin jacket. Anyway as the night came to a close I tried to find a taxi, tried ringing about 5 companys but none would pick up and there were none at the taxi ranks.

Therefore stupidly decided to walk the 7 or so miles home bearing in mind the weather and what i was wearing. Cant remember the walk and when i woke up the next morning i felt like death. My jeans were on my floor, soaking and freezing, my leather shoes ruined from the wet and cold and i was still shiverring. Was only then that i found out from my mum that i had also hitch-hiked the last half mile home. She wasnt impressed and i fully admit i was a complete bloody idiot. Felt horrible for about a week after that due to the combined drink and cold. Really count myself lucky that i got home safely though as I realise it was a stupidly dangerous thing to do and ill never be doing that again.

Generally only range about 1 or 2 now on the scale with my maximum being 3. Dont think i could cope with a 6 again.
